Charlton forward Chuks Aneke will be leaving the club this summer when his contract expires, according to the club’s announcement.
The 31-year-old striker made 138 appearances for Charlton across two stints, scoring 27 goals and providing 14 assists.
The club has released its annual retained list, which also shows that defender Tennai Watson, goalkeeper Dean Bouzanis, midfielder Aaron Henry, and striker Danny Hylton will not be offered new contracts.
Hylton, who also had a player-coach role, will join Nathan Jones’ coaching staff.

“We want to thank all the departing players for their professionalism and dedication during their time here,” said manager Nathan Jones. “They’ve each contributed significantly to the culture and environment that helped secure our promotion to the Championship.”

Aneke’s departure is part of a broader list of player changes at Charlton. The club also revealed that defender Tennai Watson, goalkeeper Dean Bouzanis, midfielder Aaron Henry, and striker Danny Hylton will not be offered new deals. Hylton, who has served in both a playing and coaching role, will transition into a full-time coaching position under manager Nathan Jones.
Despite these departures, left-back Thierry Small, whose contract also expires this summer, has been offered a new deal to remain at the club.
